Collection of Cocktails (part 9)


MANHATTAN
·         2 measure bourbon
·         ½ measure sweet vermouth

Stirr all ingredients over ice in a mixing glass, and strain into a cocktail glass. Dress with cherry.

MARGARITA
·         1¼ measure tequila
·         ½ measure cointreau
·         ½ measure lime juice

Rub the rim of a chilled cocktail glass with the lime wedge and then dip in a saucer of coarse salt to frost. Shake all ingredients vigorously over cracked ice until frosted, strain into the prepared glass and dress with slice of lime.


MELON BALL
·         2 measure midori
·         2 measure vodka
·         4 measure pineapple juice

Pour all ingredients over ice and stir well to mix. Half fill a chilled tumbler with cracked ice cubes and strain the cocktail over them…decorate with melon wedge.



MAI-TAI
·         1 measure white rum
·         1 measure dark rum
·         1 measure orange curacao
·         ½ measure orgeat
·         ½ measure lime juice
·         ½ measure grenadine
·         ½ measure pineapple juice

Shake all ingredients over ice until frosted, strain into Collins or double old fashioned glass and top up with more ice…dress with slices or pineapple stick, cherry and straw.


MOJITO
·         1 tsp syrup de gomme
·         ½ measure lime juice
·         2 measure dark rum
·         1 dsh angostura bitters
·         Few mint leaves

Put the syrup, mint leaves and lime juice in a highball glass and crush or muddle the mint leaves. Add ice and rum, then top up with soda water to taste, finish with a dash of angostura bitters and a mint leaves.


MAH-JONG
·         1 measure gin
·         ¼ measure cointreau
·         ¼ measure white rum

Stir all ingredients over ice in a mixing glass, and strain into a chilled small cocktail glass…dress with a piece of orange peel.


MONTE CARLO
·         1 measure rye
·         ½ measure benedictine
·         2 dsh angostura bitters

Stir first-two ingredients over ice in a mixing glass, strain into a small cocktail glass and finishing with 2 dash angostura bitters.
