Collection of Cocktails (part 13)

SINGAPORE SLING

·         1¼ measure gin

·         ¾ measure cherry brandy

·         ½ measure lemon juice

·         ½ measure pineapple juice

·         ½ measure benedictine

·         1 tsp grenadine

Shake all ingredients over ice until frosted, strain into a highball glass. Top up with soda water and dress with cherries.

SCREW DRIVER

·         1¼ measure vodka

·         Orange juice

Filled a chilled old fashioned glass with cracked ice cubes, pour the vodka over the ice and top up with orange juice. Stir well to mix and dress with a slice of orange.

SALTY DOG

·         1 tbsp coarse salt

·         Lime wedge

·         5-7 cracked ice cubes

·         2 measure vodka

·         Grapefruit juice

Rub the rim of a chilled Collins glass with the lime wedge, then dip it in the salt. Fill the glass with cracked ice cubes and pour the vodka over them. Top up with grapefruit juice and stir to mix.

SIDE CAR

·         1¼ measure cognac

·         ½ measure cointreau

·         ½ measure lemon juice

Shake all ingredients over ice until frosted and strain into a cocktail glass.

STINGER

·         1½ measure brandy

·         ½ measure crème de menthe white

Pour all ingredients over ice and shake vigorously until frosted. Strain into a cocktail glass.

SEX ON THE BEACH

·         1 measure vodka

·         1 measure triple sec

·         2 measure pineapple juice

·         2 measure cranberry juice

      Stir…and serve straight up or on the rocks.
